maydang.blogspot.com - OMG – hasn’t it been hot lately down in Canberra! Maybe it is the weather, maybe it is just because I am pregnant – maybe it is a little from column a and a little from column b.
The other day I slipped into a pre-pregnancy dress to head to work on casual Friday. I looked in the mirror and thought ‘Ok – I have enough room around my belly so I think this could work’. Although in shimming across the car park, once at work, I thought ‘Umm, I really can feel that breeze hitting the backs of my legs a little too high’.
Ok, the dress was short, but I am pregnant and I am hot (temperature wise).
The ladies at work reassured me that the dress was ok. But I can always rely on my Father-in-law to point out the shortness of my clothing when I popped across the road for lunch.
He sung out in the middle of the crowded café ‘Oh my god – how short is your dress’. In complete embarrassment, whilst public servants stopped to stare, I couldn’t believe that I came back with an appropriate come back...
I turned and said ‘My husband likes it like this.’ To which my Father-in-law replied ‘Fair enough!’

· Please note, I have since retired that dress to my pre-pregnancy wardrobe and am on the lookout for some more maternity clothes.
